Blue

Sometimes I get blue.  Sometimes I dress like an alien.  Sometimes being a  blue alien works out both for myself and my photographer.

Same location 3 photographers

Like everyone who is in the photography business I have a favorite location to shoot.  It is only available 2-3 months out of the year and no I will not tell you.  A woman has to have a few secrets.   :-)

Anyway I first brought Andrew K in 2010.  The deep grey of the cement, grass and even my hair makes the almost purulence of my skin glow like the moon.  The asymmetry of my pose, the wall and the foliage pulls your eyes more to the center of the image.  As a note this was I think my second nude shoot and first with Andrew.  Needless to say this and my jumping images  cemented him as a consent partner.

And again with  Bill of Pixel Elegance in 2011.  Bill came up from California on a vacation and stopped in my hometown.  I love the desaturated nature of his editing.  Also one thing that amazes me is my ribcage to hip connection, no other photographer has managed to make it look so...AWESOME.  Seriously most of the time if my ribcage pops under my pelvic bone (at least what it feels like) it looks strange and unnatural.  But here we managed o make it look sexy and intentional.  It helps that my hands, feel and expression are relaxed.

Note when one is modeling one of the easiest ways to make it look like you are relaxed it to keep you extremities and face relaxed.  Its hard but it totally works!

And finally in 2013 with CCP Photography.  This was the most technical as there are 4 of me, yet also super fun to shoot as we had to block each pose to prevent overlap.  The harsh light was not helpful but its all good!

Each time I got different image with their own unique style.  Though they are the same location I feel they are vastly different. Each reflecting the photographer, the light and our experience together.

I fixed it!

I finally fixed my computer!  I should have done it weeks ago but I was busy and I thought it was going to be way harder then it actually was.

This is one for the most technically challenging images I have ever created with a photographer.  Charles found a beautiful image and making of a dancing story.  The photographer captured the movement of the dance yet still had a sharp image.

We created this image by having a strobe on, but not up to full power.  I would start a movement when the shutter on the camera was opened and try to hit looking into the strobe when Charles manually flashed the strobe and closed the shutter a split second later.  The time on this was so hard to do but when we got it right we got it really right.

We plan on doing this shoot again when we can rent a theater space with black walls and floors and possibly bring a lead (man) in to help with more complicated dancing movements.  I will post more images from this shoot in the future but

Heroes vs Villiens

2010 CCP Photography and three wonderful Models!

This was part of our shoot for The Gamer Girl calendar in 2010 that was released in 2011. Here we are a bunch of super heroes and villeins battling to the death! Or something like that.  I have to say I am damn proud of my attack face, I look quite fierce. Also not once leaping onto another model. I'm multi talented, I know.

Really this was a fun shot to make.  We has shot together once or twice before this set and we all knew each other from university. For all the women, other then myself, in this shot this calendar was the first modeling experience they had.  The far right still models when her life allows and the other two have moved on to awesome things like dancing and grad school. I love dragging other people to shoots and they loving it to! It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

You can always use more of me! Right? Right?

Charles is so fum to work with.  He falls under my creative and really good technical photographer categorizes.  This was fun shot to make happen!  Plus could the world really handle 7 of me?

Same pose two different photographers

So I met Charles due to a mutual photographer friend David when I was hired to work a photography class.  In my Rock and Roll post that was shot by Peggi the class instructor.

 2009 Classic Rock
A good photo, good editing, good pose and good framing.  The only thing off are my eyes  which seem to be staring at something but not at quite the right angle for David.

Yup one of the oddest experiences I have ever had.  Super fun and would do it again but yeah pretty darn odd.
